Bukovanský mlýn observation tower is in fact an immitation of a typical Dutch wind mill. Bukovany is a village situated about 4 km from Kyjov. It was founded quite recently, the first visitors could enjoy the view on 1 May 2004. The tower is 15 m high. It is the highest wind mill in the Czech Republic though the word wind mill can be rather misleading – it is truly only an immitation and the wind blades are powered by an electro motor. From the top there is a great view of the Kyjovsko Region, Bílé Karpaty and if the weather is good, Slovakia.
